Our approach is successful in allowing the client company to avoid most of the pitfalls along the ISO 9000/QS-9000 road and, if third-party registration of the Quality System is one of the Company's goals, to achieve it in the shortest possible time, and at a lower overall cost than might be experienced otherwise.
Most importantly, we help the client to develop a Quality System which makes a positive contribution to the performance of the business and ADDS VALUE instead of just adding cost.
The Quality System becomes a powerful tool which not only detects problems
and deals with them successfully, but also prevents defects, errors, and
"things gone wrong," and provides a vehicle for continuous improvement.
We prepare a detailed report of our findings from these Reviews, including an action plan showing tasks which would need to be completed in preparation for a third-party assessment, and recommendations for improvements in the System.
We also offer a scaled-down version of a compliance review, dealing only with the client's Quality Manual or Level One policy document.
We review the Manual to assess whether it adequately addresses each
paragraph in the appropriate standard, and issue a report to the client
on the findings of that review.
Management Overview: This seminar is designed to educate senior managers about the requirements of the appropriate Standard, its potential for positive impact on the business, some of the pitfalls along the road, and how its implementation fits with overall company strategy. It allows managers and potential project leaders to gain an understanding of how the implementation process should be planned and scoped for maximum business advantage.
Awareness Training: This is general ISO 9000/QS-9000/ISO 14000 awareness training, particularly for those people in the company who may not be directly involved in the implementation. This training would allow people to learn what the Standard is about, what it requires of the organization in general terms, why the company is pursuing certification, and what its effect will be on the work that takes place in the company, on its people, and on the business as a whole. We can perform this training ourselves or prepare client personnel to conduct the training.
Facilitator Training: This workshop for ISO 9000/QS-9000/ISO 14000 Facilitators helps them to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out implementation tasks for which they have responsibility. Facilitators would be those people who would be most deeply involved in leading the implementation within the organization, and getting many tasks accomplished through others.
Internal Audit Training: These workshops are specifically for people who will be called upon to carry out internal audits of the Quality System. The training provides a thorough understanding of the Standard and its requirements, knowledge and insight into effective auditing techniques, and actual practice at performing internal audits.
Documentation Training: This workshop helps people understand
the documentation requirements of ISO 9000/QS-9000 or ISO 14000, and provides
specific guidance in the writing, organizing, and controlling of manuals,
procedures, work instructions, records and other documents related to the
quality system.
We help people at all levels in the planning, writing, and organizing of documents related to the Quality System, and in putting in place effective document control procedures.
We help clients to design and implement a wise approach to key aspects of the Quality System such as Internal Auditing, Corrective and Preventive Action, and Management Review so that the System makes a positive contribution to the success of the business.
We maintain an ongoing dialogue with the Project Leaders and with Senior Management when appropriate, keeping them informed of progress and suggesting changes in the approach or in the mix of resources applied to the project when necessary.
If requested, we provide liaison between the client and the Registrar
who will be conducting the third-party assessment of the Quality System
for certification purposes.
When appropriate, we assist in carrying out some of the Supplier
Development activities. We may conduct training for suppliers on
the client's behalf, help in the conduct of supplier conferences, carry
out quality system audits at supplier sites, and help in the formulation
and follow-up of corrective action requests.
